PQ2

The Practical Intelligence (PQ) series on PSP is a hidden gem of puzzle goodness.  I love PQ, and PQ2 is more of the same with extra elements.  Not only that, one of the extras is a puzzle editor and online posting/downloading.  It seems everyone wants to make the hardest puzzle ever, but its still a brilliant addition.  There are also weekly challenges, special themed puzzles, and a pressure-free level selector.  If none of that excites you into buying this game, try out PQ first.

Less Rumors, Less Pressure, More Information

I used a pick-and-choose method for E3 news.  The lack of a lot of general public at the event prevented a lot of misquotes, errors, and out-of-context information (like running with a quote as the remaining half of the speech because you're "live."  Since the manufactures had a more controlled audience, they didn't feel the need to show as many far-future games which will never be made.  The information was more useful without that cloud of ignorance from last year's E3.  Not only that, I ignored a ton of information I was not interested in.

Give It Away, Now

I noticed other 2o2p members mentioning the "Joy of Goozex."  Goozex is a matching service for game trading.  You want a game, someone else doesn't, and they send you your game.  The fee is $1 USD per trade, plus you pay for shipping and handling of your own games that you trade away.  It is essentially an inventory tracking system.  And this month is extra-special because trades in July are free of the $1 service charge.

A Franchise License Game I Like

Also on my Circuit City bender last week with the 25% off sale was Bionicle Heroes for the Xbox 360.  It got bad reviews and criticized for being repetitive.  It is repetitive, but not necessarily boring.  You see, if you are a Bionicle collector, there is nothing more amazing than controlling one in a shooter.  I mean, they're Legos.  They reconfigure.  One of your forms can build things, and all of them can destroy things.  My favorites are the plants you can blow up, grow "gear-flowers," and blow them up again.  The game has a lot of minigames and upgrades to purchase, so you can play th
