Amazing bad luck

There was an article in the AP news today about a florida woman who was killed by a stingray. In an amazing example of bad luck the woman was killed by the seemingly most random series of events in the universe.

Here are some clips:

"We routinely investigate boating accidents and fatalities," she said.

I'm different, just like everyone else

As some of you may remember, a while back I was contemplating changing my gamertag.  I really couldn't think of anything that I really cared that much about or that was terribly unique about myself.  Seriously, how do you turn "underpaid, thin and balding" into a gamertag?  I finally gave up and settled on L3FTY, because I am one.  In hindsight there is something much more unique that no one (except my wife) knows about me, but again, it wouldn't make a great tag.

Bend over, here comes the Customer "Service"

We have really become a service oriented nation. Think of all the companies that you make payments to: phone, cell phone, internet, car, satellite, cable, game consoles etc.  It is inevitable that we will eventually need to change a plan, upgrade or downgrade or get a repair and require a real human being on the other end of the phone.  This is the year 2008 right?  Why are so many companies still struggling with the idea of actually servicing a customer?

Enough Is Enough

Is there such a thing as too much of a good thing? I think so.

When did super thin condoms become all the rage? Go to your local purveyor of prophylactics and take a look at the selection. Every one boasts of superior thinness and micro laser amoeba pecker technology.

Hookers and Hookering

I know that I'm a day late and a dollar short when it comes to the Spitzer hooker thing.  I've been away for a few days and I'm sure there are already threads covering all aspects of it.  I'd like to throw my hat in the ring  anyway and ask a question that some of you wonderful people can answer.
