Well tonight is the night.  The wifey and I are making the trip to the grand palace of Wally World.  We're going to get all the snacks, batteries, and general crap like that to take on our trip.  I hate Wal Mart.  The very sight of one of those stores absolutely makes me cringe.  All the people.  The horrible customer service.  And oh the money that will be spent.  Granted it isn't as bad as Sam's or Costco.  Every time we plan on going to one of those two places, I just go ahead and go by the bank to take out a loan.  But still, I hate Wal Mart.  What a way to spend a Friday night.

As far as the countdown goes... last night involved two things.  1) More DVD conversion for the Zune.  That is turning out to be a tedious little project.

According to my wife, my countdown is a little off.  As far as she is concerned, today is day 29 because as of 5 PM on 5/22 we will be on vacation.  I am counting down to 5/23 because that is the day we actually fly out.  A minor detail to say the least, but it is funny to me how adamant she is that today is day 29.

So the weekend was crazy, as I expected.  The craziness continues for a couple more days, then it is back to the normal insanity. 

Generally I am excited about Friday, as are most people.  Not today though.  Today is the beginning of a ridiculous 5 day stretch for me at work.  Have to stay late today.  Work all day tomorrow.  Preach and do PR on Sunday.  Board meeting Monday night that will likely last until 10 or 11.  Another PR/fundraising event Tuesday night.  I haven't fired up the box in two days and it is starting to look like it may not get fired up again until the FFA tourney.  THAT SUCKS!!!

No, Mass.  This isn't about your job.  Although I have seen that crap up close (buddy of mine works for NASA), and it is definitely f'ing cool.

A little over a year ago, the wifey and I decided it was time for us to take another big vacation.  The last one we took was a week long drive out west hitting Vegas, LA/Malibu, and the Grand Canyon.  That was 3 years ago and I am in dire need of another one.
