Concert season is in full swing: had the Beethoven's 5 concert last Saturday, which went fairly well. And my fantastically wonderful boyfriend was there to support me (it was so nice having him there) then took me out to my favorite pub for dinner and drinks. We tried hooking up with a friend, but it fell through. :( In any case it was nice to hear from him, if briefly.

Symphony tonight was just plain stupid! I can't stand the idiots who come to a rehearsal completely unprepared (4 days to the concert, may I add) and laugh about all the mistakes they're making. It's asinine that a group of professionals would accept their shitty behavior, yet no one in their section nutted up enough to say anything.

Oooooggg..... I ate my weight in fried foods yesterday at the state fair. It was WONDERFUL but tiring and very filling. We had:

- fried bananas topped with whipped cream and chocolate
- fried Frito pie
- corndogs (the orginal ones from Fletcher's)
- fried Oreos (these were unbelieavably delicious! I'm glad I don't have a fryer or I'd make them nonstop)
- fried Snickers (what a tasty mess)
- fried beer (oh yes, it can be done. It wasn't very good though.)
- and some damn fine fried Mexican food!

and a few beers (Shiner, of course!)

Yup... we made it exclusive. He's amazing. Total nerd, but I'm getting over that. I spent all weekend with him and discovered more things about him that I had no idea were there. Everything I found out I like. I can't believe how well this is going, and how incredibly happy I am! I also am shocked that, before, I put up with so much crap and called it "good".

We played Deathspank this weekend again, and had an Indiana Jones marathon, then played darts ad nauseum. I actually won a few times! And in one stunning round I hit the bullseye twice in one turn! (giving self 5)

Fabulous weekend.... fabulous in every possible way! Had a nice week too, but the weekend was so great because I spent it with Matt the Vet. (I have 4 Matts in my life, so I feel obligated to qualify which one.)  We couldn't wait til Saturday to hagn out so we ended up coming over Friday night- I cooked a salmon, parsnips and did a salad- he loved it! (Way to a man's heart is through the stomach perhaps? Score 1 point for me. Maybe 2, because I made a chocolate cake too.) Then we just sat talking on the patio for ages and ages.
