Fabulous weekend.... fabulous in every possible way! Had a nice week too, but the weekend was so great because I spent it with Matt the Vet. (I have 4 Matts in my life, so I feel obligated to qualify which one.)  We couldn't wait til Saturday to hagn out so we ended up coming over Friday night- I cooked a salmon, parsnips and did a salad- he loved it! (Way to a man's heart is through the stomach perhaps? Score 1 point for me. Maybe 2, because I made a chocolate cake too.) Then we just sat talking on the patio for ages and ages.

I had such a wonderful time at the wedding this weekend! Despite a lovely case of bronchitis (luckily, on the mend), I was able to fulfill all my maid of honor duties and still have a wonderful time. It was a military wedding with full regalia (both Marines and Navy represented, and the priest was retired Air Force), honor guard, everything. It was simply amazing!

I was supposed to be hosting a bachelorette party tonight... instead I am so sick that I actually bailed. I haven't been this sick in years. This cold snuck up on me and just knocked me flat. I called the bride early this morning when I saw I didn't feel better than the day before. I felt so much worse this morning. I called her to say I still plan on being there (and since I'm the DD I absolutely didn't want to bail) but I may keep my distance from everyone. She said don't come at all because she didn't want to risk getting sick herself, or the rest of the bridesmaids either.

I have been listening to the song "Porn Star Dancing" over and over- I've had it in my head for awhile now, thanks to a certain someone's ringtone :) Anyway, I finally DLd it a couple days ago, and I've been playing it in my car, on my iphone while I'm at my desk, etc. However when I'm not listening to it I can't stop hearing it in my head either! I've tried combatting this with "It's a Small World", "We are the World", and "Kumbayah". No luck- I keep hearing these dirty hot lyrics over & over. Makes for an interesting day.

... came someone from high school. I got a msg from someone in my high school band via facebook. This was someone I'd entirely forgotten about (if I ever knew them at all). After several "who the hell are you" type of msgs, I finally had some glimmer of recollection. We decided to meet up for pool last night. I had such a marvelous time, and it was nice to meet (although technically we met 15 years ago) someone with whom I have a common background. We were out til 3:30am, needless to say that today was a very long ass day.
