Going home for the holidays to spend time with family.... it's like sleeping with an ex. Ugh! My best friend says to me before I left, "Every time you go visit your parents I get a tearful drunken phone call from you about halfway through the week. Why do you keep going back!?" LMAO! She's right though. This time I didn't call, but was tempted to.

My ex husband is in the category of "special people"... special because I wish a very specific torture upon him for the things he's done. Annnyway.... he owes me a ton of money, and because I wanted out of the marriage ASAP, I agreed to be lenient with the pay schedule. WAY too leniant, now that I see the result.

I'm going to rub it in a little and celebrate my holiday that last until Jan, 4!!! Ahhhh I love it. I woke up all happy and relexad, took a scalding hot shower til my skin turned all pink, and then luxuriated in taking as much time as I wanted to get ready.

What I'm getting ready for: lunch with an old friend and then shopping, since I've managed to procrastinate. I have like 6 gifts purchased. That's it. I gotta get cracking today.

I had a really enjoyable evening  the other night with my BF. I introduced him to Knob Creek whiskey and Coke. He usually drinks Captain and Coke, but he said a switch may be in order. We really hardly ever drink, just the odd occasion. He doesn't like beer at all. This was a problem for me, since I love it, but it works out nicely... I drink the beer, he drives the car. :)

Long ass weekend chock-full of orchestra stuff, followed by a well deserved drink and good conversation. I also made chili and an exceptional bread pudding on Sunday. OMG, drool. I taught my boyfriend how to make the creme anglaise for it (yum) and he did it perfectly.

So I was watchign TV with my honey the other morning (we were watching G4) when a story about Super Meat Boy comes on. It was about how PETA had made a spoof of SMB using Tofu Boy as their character. The irony is... PETA is far more of a household name than SMB ever will be, and by calling attention to the game, PETA inadvertently boosts Team Meat's interest/sales, etc. I'm no vegetarian (used to be though, thanks to a 2 year promise to a former roommate in college) but I don't hunt or even want to hear about hunting, however I'm not a PETA supporter.
