Cover Me.

According to Wiki-pedia Paul McCartney's "Yesterday" is the most covered song of all time. Why bring this up you ask? Well because I really like cover songs. Not the kind of karaoke that’s done on American Idol, but professionals who cover great songs and in some cases take mediocre songs and make them great. I recently stumbled across an album while searching for songs for my Zune (a great device btw). It was called “This Is Metal's Most Covered Moments Of The '80s” Perfect! I thought. Here’s and album that combines two types of music I really enjoy. I was only partially right.

24 Reasons I Won't be on Live this Sunday and Monday Night.

1. Jack friggin’ Bauer!!!
2. Because someone always dies in the first episode and I don’t want to miss it
3. 24 is the only show that I don’t Tivo to watch the next day.
4. Jack reminds us all how to “coax” information out of a terrorist.
5. There’s no liberal hippie who can stand in Jack’s way. (to all my liberal hippie friends; I keed, I keed )
6. See reason number 1.
7. There’s no Jack Bauer in Gears of War, but there should be.

Terrorist Cookies!!

So a few moments ago a semi-attractive lady walks in the door at my business.  I didn't recognize her as one of our regular customers so I immediately became suspicious.  We posted an "Absolutely No Soliciting" sign on the front door a few years back, but apparently I mistakenly assumed that door to door sales people could read.  Nonetheless I greeted her as politely as I could since she didn't seem to want to go away on her own.  Just as I had assumed, she was "introducing herself to the businesses in this area".   However, this sales lady was different.  She had cookies!  Better yet, she

You're Not Cheese!!!

I’m mid flight on my way back from Dallas/Ft. Worth headed back to Indianapolis. Librarian 0ne and I have had a great weekend but we’re definitely looking forward to sleeping in our own bed tonight.

Duty Called

I played some COD3 last night for the first time. I only played through the training and first mission before going online to try out some MP. The campaign felt comfortably familiar. There are a few new twists to the controls but everything is basically the same scheme as COD2.

Not perfect, but pretty friggin' good!

I know that I’m probably not the first or even 100th person to write up a review of GoW on the site today, but instead of having to respond to the various threads, pm, im and chat invites I’ve had about it, I thought it would be just easier to write it up here.

Cars Is Here!!

Well it’s Emergence Day, kinda. If you’re lucky enough to be near an EB or GameStop that has GoW already or will have it, maybe, depending on who you ask, then it’s Emergence Day for you. Woot! Maybe tomorrow will be Emergence Day for the rest. Maybe it’ll be Sunday the 12th. Know one seems to have any definitive answers. All I know is that if I wanted to go buy the movie Cars today I could…….. anywhere………..everywhere.

While Live Was Down....

Last Friday I finally broke down and subscribed to Game Fly. Lisa had been anxious to try out Chromehounds and I wasn’t about to give up my copy in order for her to do it! I was a little concerned about the turn around time since GF is in Cali and I live in Indiana. The first disk actually arrived on Monday with the second showing up on Tuesday. Not bad. Not Netflix good, but not terrible either. When I signed up, I chose the 2 out at a time plan. I didn’t really have anything in mind to try but I figured the Mrs. Might like to try out a couple of other titles.
