I was sitting at my desk the other day with my Directv playing across from me randomly surfing for some background noise to fill my otherwise stone quiet cubicle. I happened across a recording of a Foo Fighters concert on channel 101. I’ve never been a big fan of the Foo Fighters. It’s not that their music isn’t catchy (sometimes) or they seem to be giant dicks. I think it’s because I never really liked Nirvana and since Dave was from that band it was guilt by association kind of thing.

The other day I was watching a program about Mike Tyson.  At one point it showed the clip where he was being escorted from the courthouse to prison back in 1992 for his rape conviction.  (I tried desperately to find this clip or a picture but failed).  Now I know what you’re thinking, “So what, Mike went to jail.

So it’s just about that time of year again.  The new fall TV season is just about ready to get underway and as usual I’m programming up my (5) Tivos to catch all the new shows.  As usual I have a few doubts about who exactly runs the major networks.  I mean really do we really need 2 different shows about hostages (Kidnapped on NBC and Vanished on FOX) and isn’t Smith just another version of Thief and Heist from last year?

Well a couple of days later a second replacement unit arrived.  This time I hooked it up and viola, no HDMI output and similar problems as the first replacement machine had.
