Support 2old2play And Social Networking

After listening to Buzz Out Loud (CNET's podcast of indeterminant length) I found a little news tidbit, digg.com now has podcast digging! Wohoo, so I checked it out and we're on there (not sure if we put ourselves there or what).

You can digg the 2old2play podcast AND you can also digg each episode. Yes, I went through and dugg them all, pushing some of them from 0 to 1. I'm totally a leader not a follower ;-) Or I was just "the first."

As if I didn't have enough to do...

I just picked up a web programming contract, a side project of side projects of sorts. However, this project is a bit different because I get to try my hand at working in a group known as Media Crumb - run by Mr. DoodiRock himself.

Still - no Wii

Got up at 7:00am today, earlier than I've awaken for at least five years, let alone a Sunday.

Drove down to the local Target an hour before opening, hoping to get some Wii action (the lady at the store said come back Sunday). Another night of camping for a large group of people though... I got there before the Mall opened to find a lot full of cars, a line of freezing campers and here I am ... back again ... no Wii.

So....

My first 360 got hit by lightening, and now my second one just gave me the 3-red rings of light. Hmm... I rebooted it and it is working ok, but I had paused CoD3 for about two hours while I brought in the Christmas tree and such. I walk in and I see 3 rings of red.

The system has been freezing over the last month or so so I put a Nyko Intercooler on it - not sure if that has helped (since the freezing was random). Been play testing it to see if the freezing goes away and now this...

Gears of War Scatching

Has anyone had the "fun" of experiencing the Gears of War scratch? What a pain in the ass, this is the result of one of our customers issues:

What a pain in the ass, the scratches are not superficial and I've not been able to get them out. Microsoft will feel my wrath for this one...

International Trade Is A Bitch

As our company tries to find better prices for games and consoles we look overseas to check out some of the offers. There are some places, like the UK, that have better prices and availability for some popular products (i.e. Nintendo Wii) - however the exchange rate with the UK to the US is horrid so the prices are HIGHER once you get it over here. Not so cool.
