Too bad you can't tax stupidity

As of this week, the presidential candidate with the least amount experience seems to be the only one with any concrete understanding of domestic economics...or at least the only one willing not to pander to the voting public.

McCain and Clinton are both loudly advocating a suspension of the 18.4 cent federal gas tax.  Obama, like virtually all economists who don't enjoy their own show on Fox News, thinks it's a bad idea.  Why?  Well, let's see.

Holy Schnikies!

The Kwazy Kompound is situated on the far north-side of Indianapolis. It also happens to lie directly under the flightpath of the a metro hospital's Lifeline air ambulance route...an item my realtor neglected to mention before we bought it. As the smaller rural hamlets to the north enjoy many "Hey y'all, watch this!" moments, it has become very familiar to hear copters flying low and fast over the house.

But rarely do they turn around.

You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here!

As the Pacers have pretty much traded away all of their thugs and criminals, it is evidently up to the Colts to pick up the slack in the "post 3 AM night-club arrests" ledger.

Kenton Keith did a rather poor job in this regard when he tried stepping up early this morning.  While he was outside a night club acting drunk and disorderly, he possessed neither an unlicensed hand gun nor any sizable amount of weed.  And while he failed to assault anyone, at least he resisted arrest.

It's been less than a month since Microsux sent back my RROD-"Repaired" 360.  Everything worked just fine for a couple of weeks, though I noticed the optical drive was making more noise than before I sent it in for repairs.

Stoned Free

When the flap started last week about Obama's truism regarding Pennsylvania, I tried to write about it a few times and it didn't come out right. I almost had something, then I read Dastards's Blog. He pretty much summed up my opinion. Or so I thought. So I didn't bother publishing.

Then I watched Monday's Daily Show on Tivo while I ate my humble dinner tonight. My viewpoint is now a Stewart/Dastard hybrid. It is so nice having other people write for me.
