Stoned Free

When the flap started last week about Obama's truism regarding Pennsylvania, I tried to write about it a few times and it didn't come out right. I almost had something, then I read Dastards's Blog. He pretty much summed up my opinion. Or so I thought. So I didn't bother publishing.

Then I watched Monday's Daily Show on Tivo while I ate my humble dinner tonight. My viewpoint is now a Stewart/Dastard hybrid. It is so nice having other people write for me.

Paperless workplace

This is an actual email message I received yesterday at work from the a u-nion steward upon resolution of a labor relations issue.  Only the names have been changed to protect the stupid.  The rest is word-for-word gospel.

Product schill

Good customer service is getting to be a forgotten art...like operating a sewing machine and sneaking into pay toilets.  The one unifying customer service experience of many on this site is speaking to heavily accented people with regards to rings of red death.  But today, I actually had a good experience.  Nay, most excellent experience.

Ouch!

As I was finishing my nightly walk with the Beast, I witnessed one of the saddest and funniest happenings in recent memory.

Highest in the world, bar none

I love this country.  I really, really do.  And although I am often ashamed of the actions of our leaders, I am proud to be an American.

That said, today I came across something that deeply disturbed me.

-America has roughly 4% of the world population (OK, I already knew that)

Support the troops!

This was not the blog I was planning on writing tonight.  Due to personal issues, I have had an extremely tiring week.  I've been absolutely emotionally drained.  But then I came upon this article.

People, there are some things in life that are just too important, too imperative not to be able to set aside your personal trials and tribulations.

Air Chief Marshall Jock Stirrup, I tip my cap to you.
