What was the last beer you drank?

I know your memory is probably a bit fuzzy.  But you probably had that beer with breakfast, and breakfast really wasn't that long ago.  I bet if you think really, really hard, you can remember your last beer.

What was it?  Did you like or dislike?  Why?  Did it make your meal taste better, your date more beautiful, your skillz more l33t, or your tongue tingle?  Did it make you happy or smart or funny or naked?  Do tell.  Pics a bonus.

My last was a Raging Bitch from Flying Dog Brewery, a Belgian style IPA.  I liked it a lot.  I dig the combination of Belgian flavors with American hop flavor and aroma.  Flying Dog put both element together so that neither over flavored the other.  It was delicious with grilled cheeseburger, fried tators, and something green.  My kids didn't understand the label.  I want more Raging Bitches.

Can't get the link coded:  http://flyingdogales.com/beers/#/Canis%20Major/Raging%20Bitch

Yuengling

I had two with dinner last night.  I know what you're thinking:  "That must have been a long dinner."

no it wasn't.

In my opinion, Yuengling is the cheapest beer that still tastes like beer.

Last "beer" I had was on January 20th of this year (I rarely drink). It was...

[IMG]http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m305/gwynllor/Olde_English_40_bottle....

It was the 10th and 13th anniversaries of the death of 2 of my best friends.

Dang buddy I hope my friends are as awesome as you!

For the record mine was a coors light... for no good reason other than that I couldn't take anymore Jameson shots.

That's beechwood aged piss.  Which probably means it's more delicious than regular piss.

My neighbors bought a case of this stuff:

(Un)Fortunately they didn't like it.  So they asked my wife if she thought I would drink it.  When she was done laughing, they put the beer in my outdoor refrigeration unit (otherwise known as our porch).  I've been drinking it ever since.  It's ok.  I'm just not a fan of spiced beers.

I'm not mad Skiddy, just disapointed.

Of all the American beers, you drink that?  We do have some good beers you know.

I never bought it, he says hastily.

Recommend some good USA beers, and I'll see if our local, Walmart owned, supermarket stocks them.

I think I might really like your friend Belinda. . . . . .

I'm afraid most of my beer knowledge is selfish.  I know lots about beer that is shipped TOWARD me.  Not much about "away from".

Some of the biggest US craft breweries include (in order of my preference) Sierra Nevada, New Belgium, Stone, Sam Adams (Boston Brewing), and Rogue.  Anchor Brewing is USA's brewery role model, and one of my favorites.  I'd guess beers from these places would be some of the most likely to be shipped your way.  According to some random beer shop website (UTO in London) you may also be able to find (also in order of preference) Brooklyn, Great Divide and Goose Island.

Not sure what you should expect.  A lot of the European beer we get has been mistreated or is pretty old.  Rarely seems to taste as good as it should.

BTW, I think I went on an NFL playoff binge last weekend that ended with me digging into the case of beer I keep on my porch for my bro.  That would make my last beer a Silver Bullet.

She's a good lass is Belinda. When she used to do the markdowns for the booze she used to come and find me and our kid first, so we could pick whichever we liked. The prices were marked down accordingly and then hidden in the storeroom until our shifts had finished.

Tongue out

Homebrewed Belgian dark strong ale.  Not my best effort.  The beer has issues.  But then again, so do I.

Which also means I’m qualified for divorce and poverty.

Still battling the Belgian dark strong.  It needs to be gone.  I need the keg that it’s in.  I cannot rest until I am victorious.

I really miss Yuengling, but we can't get that down here.  Last beer I had was Shiner Bock.   Then again, I am more of a Scotch drinker.

This past Saturday night, my last beer was a Cantillon Rose De Gambrinus, bottled in 2000.  It was fucking glorious.

Lucky bastard.  I can’t describe how absolutely jealous I feel right now.  Did you have to give up a kidney to get it?
