Since the xbox in the bedroom still works we switched out hard drives so oldest stepson could continue his Bioshock quest.  I got to thinking, why not put my hard drive on and try to connect to the Beta?  It doesn't require the use of the disk drive.  SUMMA Bucket!! It worked!!!!!!! Now, i have to admit the Elite is still going back.  Before I logged in the first time I booted up there was still a disk in the drive and we got a System Error message on the screen and one red light in the lower right corner.  So, my guess is that this whole issue has something to do with the disk drive.

My Xbox Elite, of five months, has decided not to work anymore.  Yeppers, the screen is freezing.  And not just on one game.  So, for the second time this year I called MS and requested a coffin.  Oddly enough, no red rings of death.  BAD timing.  The oldest stepson is having friends from his other school up for the weekend, it is a four day weekend for me, the COD4 Beta is going on.  Not a good time for the box to die.  This was a release box too.  I stood outside BB before they opened to get one..Not that it was necessary, mind you, but I did it anyway.  Now I wish I had given my token to a

Today is a little better, I'm able to sit in a chair as long as I sit back and tall.  Bending at the waist or twisting to my left feels like I'm pulling against a frozen rubber band.  Anyway, I have work that needs to be handled in a timely manner.  So, here I sit.

There is a bunch of hulabaloo about the COD 4 Beta and those that received tokens during this FIRST wave of invites.  Sure I'm not the best player or the fastest but I enjoy the game and will play the beta.  Will I play as often as some other Call of duty buffs?  Probably not.  But that doesn't mean my involvement will be any less important than theirs.

I had my physical yesterday and am now officially OFF coumadin (affectionately called rat poison).  I have completed a year of treatment following the blood clot in my lung last year.  Now I am to take one adult aspirin each day.  That I can handle.  This means that I can start riding horses again and not have to be as concerned about the consequences of getting injured.  Now, if I can just get this lower back muscle to loosen up a bit.
