The new Halo 3 Map pack....

My disc of Halo 3 is cracked (mailed it for replacement the other day). However, considering what Halo has meant to me for the past year or so I downloaded them anyway and went and rented a copy to try them out. They are nice maps. Foundry should be fun to goof off in, Rat's Nest should be a nice racing map. But Stand-Off? Gorgeous is the only word that fits. It really is a great looking map, possibly too good.

Call of Duty 4: The Fall of Halo

There, I said it.

Not that I havent heard other people and game reviewers say it as well. I just never thought that I would be saying it.

I LOVE Halo, Halo 2 was God's own gilded gift to the online Multi-Player community. The party system is great with hardly any interruptions in conversation or being lagged out and have to rejoin (hardly any anyway). It's damn near like being in the same room with your buddies. On that point Halo stands alone. It's still the best party system in the world of consoles.

Ace Combat 6

I had a moment the other day. I drove to Minot (that's in North Dakota folks) to buy a game. I had several older games to trade and a couple of movies. Considering the cost of gasoline, I would have purchased COD4 locally but the local Walmart Not-So-SuperCenter didn't have it yet. Not sold out, DIDN'T HAVE IT YET. So I scrounged up the required trades to make up for the gas cost. So, Topcop63, theHaugen and I carpooled to GameStop. They took all of my trades and with the extra club member percentage got over $50 towards a trade in. Only one problem, NO COD4!!

Why it's Good to have Friends.

I experienced a frustrating situation yesterday. I noticed a crack in my Halo 3 Disc. It was from the inside rim out to about 1/4 inch into the writable surface. Not good. As I suspected, unplayable disc error.

Man's (Woman's) Inhumanity to Themselves

This is a repost of the most recent blog entry at my Window's Space:
I've been a police officer for about 13 years now, in two states. I have had many investigations concerning domestic violence. For the most part they are all similar with varying diferences due primarily to personalities of the participants. I will try to avoid using he and she since they can be either victim or offender. But, the majority of victims are female.
