This is a repost of the most recent blog entry at my Window's Space:
I've been a police officer for about 13 years now, in two states. I have had many investigations concerning domestic violence. For the most part they are all similar with varying diferences due primarily to personalities of the participants. I will try to avoid using he and she since they can be either victim or offender. But, the majority of victims are female.
I got trained with the X-26 Tazer today. While the training doesn't require an officer to get nailed with a tazer it IS highly recommended. The reason? An officer needs to know first hand that it will work and that it won't cause undue suffering to the target subject. THAT is important. Despite what some people think, Cops aren't sadists. There may be a few of them floating around but in general we actually hesitate to cause somebody harm if we can at all help it. That's why cops often times hesitate to shoot someone who is trying to kill them, we don't WANT to SHOOT somebody.

Gee, I wonder what I could have been doing the past few weeks instead of writing something for my blog?? Wow, that's a tough one.
Like anyone else who has a 360 and an extra $70 lying around, I have been playing Halo 3. God's own gift to the video-gaming world. I am admittedly a recent convert into the cult that is Halo. Yep, it's a cult and yep, I do love it so.

Sorry for the lag between entries. Been a long month.
Today, I thought I had met the most pig-ass ignorant person ever. Bear in mind that in my line of work, I run across some really insignificant intellects. However, the question this broad asked me today actually made me pause and seriously consider why she was aloud outside of her caretakers sight. Usually I'm just being an arrogant smart-ass when I ask people if they're dumb-asses. But, today, I was dead serious.

As you may be able to tell I'm a little stoked about Ace Combat 6 and the fact that its jumping consoles. It was my favorite game for the PS2 and I'm happy that it is stalking my ass over to the 360. It is by far the most enjoyable game of it's genre, ar none. All of the other attempts at making a dogfighting flight sim were far too simplified to be anything other than cheap arcade games.
