Key West was just lovely! I'm thrilled I went down there and met up with people. We stayed in this very cute little cottage, walking distance from everywhere (that was awesome). The drive in from Miami was not bad at all, and along the way we stopped at this beautiful sandbar and had a nice beach visit, lots of pics. Once we had settled in the cottage at Key West we went out shopping and sightseeing in the town. At the end of the day we stopped at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville bar (where I was served quite possibly the world's worst margarita) and caught up on tons of gossip.

I tried the new Magic edition... can't see how it's much different than The Gathering yet, but then I was playing it at an obscene hour of the night and sitting so far back from the screen I literally couldn't read the words on it. I beat the tutorial level (who doesn't) but lost interest in it. I like The Gathering well enough to just play that rather than DL the new one, but if anyone can convince me otherwise, let's hear it.

It was such a fabulous trip! I ate some amazing food (and some really weird crap, the strangest being: jellyfish, duck beak, duck stomach, eels (not so weird, but I'd never had them this way), chicken feet, fish eye, whole shrimp (head, shell, tail, everything), and rat). The trip was just long enough for me to get homesick and ready to be coming home. I can't believe how inexpensive things are! I brought way too much money (so that's a good problem), and I got a lot of loot for friends and family.

I shopped for new clothes, got a fabulous new purse (marked down to $160 from $370- hot damn!!), went to the pool to swim, read & tan (perfect- not burnt at all), made a nice lunch and am just sitting around waiting to go. I love summer. I have time to do everything I need/want to do.

Just two days until I leave for China... so nervous but at the same time, very excited to be going. I spent all weekend with Matt, just hanging out and enjoying the time off. I am out of school for the summer (huzzah!- Paid vacay until Aug 16!) We were supposed to be out shopping, buying me travel clothes, packing, running errands. Unless any of those errands included hanging out by the pool, making homemade spaghetti and meatballs, watchign Month Python's Holy Grail or watching the Mavs game (sad loss in the last four seconds), then I can' say I got a lot done. Sure felt good though.

I had a concert this weekend and went to dinner after with my BF. We chose a place called Roy's Hawaiian Fusion... it seemed like a cool idea, based on the menu, so we went.
