I had a concert this weekend and went to dinner after with my BF. We chose a place called Roy's Hawaiian Fusion... it seemed like a cool idea, based on the menu, so we went.

Movers came and went, piano movers came and went, everything got moved except crap I'm throwing away at the old place. Weird thing happened on moving day: The movers said they'd be there between 8 and 8:30, but at 7:45 a truck pulled up. I crammed the rest of my donut in my mouth and hurrried outside. The guy asked if he's at the right place, I said yep c'mon in. He looks around, scratches his head and asks if he has the right place. I said yes, I'm moving today, this is the right place.

So I broke my ding danged foot. How? Some fantastic sex? Not even close. Maybe rescuing a kitten from a tree? No. I just hopped out of bed Monday morning and landed funny. My bed is tall enough that my feet don't touch the floor when I'm sitting on it, and when I jumped down (all of 6 inches probably) I just landed in a weird way and managed to end up with two stress fractures along metatarsals 4 & 5, and a torn tendon. OMG. Really? I feel like a prize idiot, and now I have this really attractive boot to wear for 4-6 weeks. Moving day is today (just me and my car.. I'm moving boxes).

I was #2 at GameStop to get Portal 2! O_o  Now I'm debating if I have the energy to play some and give it up at a reasonable hour. I don't have to get up til 6:15 so if I only pla an hour I'll get almost 5 hours of sleep... so WTF am I doing online? Celebrating that I got it!! Woo hoo! Months of waiting have paid off. Now I'm wanting Mortal Kombat, the new one. The SNES version was my favorite until now. Guess I'll be shelling out more for that one. Totally worth it.

In their defense, this was Wednesday they mentioned that. I argued with them some more but didn't want to lose the apartment so I took the deal. It's the busiest week of all time (I know I've said that before, but this week is even busier, so it trumps the others), and I have literally no time to even go over there tomorrow and pick up my key. I have to cut a class to do this.

I lost my new apartment. I said I wanted to move on May 15, they agreed. I went to go sign my lease and they said April 16 was what I signed up for. We argued, they said I misunderstood. I would NEVER have said April because I'm far too bloody busy, and May was gonna be tight as it is. Long story short, they ate my deposit, I'm screwed out of my apartment and my money. I don't have anything in writing (at least nothing on a legal form of any kind) other than the brochure he handed me, stating my intended move in date.

I had that huge relationship (and subsequent relationship hang-up) in Vancouver, and as of today I can officially say I've earned my own achievement of the ever-elusive Closure. I did hear from him- albeit indirectly- but him, nonetheless. He's happy, his life in on track, things are looking really good for him and his family. He's also doing a lot of the things we planned to do together, just with his kids instead of me. The pics I saw were so sweet, and he really did look happy. How did the closure come in to effect?
