Never Forget

Normally I like to keep my blogs lighthearted, centered on gaming or other interesting quirks of life.  Today isn’t one of those days, and we all know why.  Today is a day to remember one of those fateful days in history, the type where every American will remember where they were, what they were doing.  Today is 9/11.  We as a country must never forget – not for the government or any war on terrorism that you may or may not support – but for the men and women who died that day, either by the cowardly attack or those who rushed to their aid and gave the ultimate sacrifice.

I’ve blogged this in the past, but will restate it again: I suffer from terminal GADD, or Gaming Attention Deficit Disorder.  I get bored of games quickly, and jump from title to title in rapid succession.  Because of this, I rarely finish a game to the end.  Recently, The Darkness was able to shake this habit and keep my attention to the end.  Now, against all odds, a second title steps up to that challenge and wins: BioShock.

Remembering the Good

Something today forced one of the random epiphanies on me – ones that I wish came more often, but I try to take notice when they do. It was something that made me sit up and realize that, for where I am in my life, I have it better than I could ever imagine, and need to keep that in perspective as often as I can.

What a weekend...

Normally I take revelations in moderation. I like life simple. I like getting “learning experiences” once in a while, with sufficient time to really absorb them. However, this weekend I came upon several realizations that got me to sit up and take notice.
