Dead Cats

I woke up this morning and look out the kitchen window. The neighbors cat is laying in my backyard. The cat spends more time at my house than his. I am not a big cat fan but this cat is okay. I rummage around for something to eat and look out the window again. Cat hasn't moved. I look closely. The cat appears wet. I keep looking and it hits me. That cat is dead. Great. I go ahead and get ready for church. I keep hoping the neighbors will see the cat and take care of it. I notice that both the neighbors cars are still in the driveway. They always leave for church before me.

Proud Dad

My boys played in their first golf tournament. They played in the 4-5 year old bracket. The oldest won it and the youngest came in third. Best part is they had a good time. Here are a couple of pictures. The first one is the oldest with his plaque. The second is the two of them together. Their expressions are because their mom was having a hard time getting them to pose and they had had enough.

Golf, Beer, and COD 2

Never did finish up my update on the microbrews I bought last week.  The real reason is because They sucked.  I really only half way liked one of the six that I tried.  I guess that is what I get for being adventurous.  My boys are playing in their first golf tournament tomorrow.  Of course they are in the 4-5 year old division (had to lie about one, he wasn't old enough) so they only play three holes.  They are excited.  Not sure I am.  They have been bugging me to death to practice.  I am sick of taking them out to hit golf balls.  I guess it is a break from pitching baseballs to them every

Golfing With Kids

I just got back from golfing with my father-in-law and my two boys.  Good grief.  This is the first time I have gone with them.  Boys are 5 .5 and almost 4 years old.  They hit golf balls every time they go to their grandparents house.  Father-in-law has taken them golfing with him a few times but this time I figured I would tag along.  I am now officially out of patience.  I thought that they would hit one off the tee, pick it up and go putt.  Turns out that is not how it works.  They hit it until they got it in the hole.  That was the longest nine holes I have ever played.  Good news is that

Microbrew Review

Let me start off by saying that I am not much of a drinker. I like a cold beer every now and then and that is it. So the following opinions are far from professional. Last month the family went to St. Louis for a wedding. While there, we toured the Bud factory. I got to sample some things I normally would never have tried. Since returning from that trip, I have been having a couple of beers at night while playing video games. I have been mostly buying the cheap stuff, Natural Light.
