Megan Update

What a week! It seems like it has been one thing after another. We started with a lovely day of Megan leaking out stomach acid and what appeared to be potty and various other things that made all of us gag. We then received Megan’s blood tests back that revealed that her levels had once again changed pretty dramatically in just a month. Megan is a bit anemic. Right now we are going to watch her very closely but if it continues then they will most certainly have to take action.

Searching through the empty...

Psalm 103:12 (NLT)

12 He has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west.

" In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
'cause You know just how far the east is from the west
From one scarred hand to the other."

Luke 24:1-8

Amazing picture

You want to know what an F2 tornado looks like? Here you go. This was taken last Friday night, by Shane Durrance, as the tornado moved through downtown Atlanta. The grayish column in the middle is the wall cloud, surrounding the actual funnel of the tornado. The light you see, is actually from a lightning flash, making this picture possible. Great pic, scary circumstances. The tornado struck at the heart of downtown at a peak time for key events.

Megan update

lcwhitlock.com/megan/blog/

Hi guys! Megan is doing well, except for her constant double ear infection that has never gone away. She has been like this for many months now so we have made the decision to go ahead and do another surgery to replace her tubes. We really hoped that she would not need them anymore but Megan is surviving on constant ear drops to numb her ears and help with the pain. The constant infections are also not good, especially for her hearing. She, as usual, is handling it very well though.

w00t...Birthday pictures!!!!

The reason we were there. Not only to have a great birthday party, but to help raise money and create awareness for Mitochondrial Disease. This is the same poster that was on display at the Music For Megan concert back in September.

Stacy and her parents:

Stacy and our nurse Tricia (she is a blessing beyond anything you might know)

Pride of a Father

On days like these

I realize

Another year gone

The time does fly.

I also know

A difficult nod

They are not mine

On loan from God.

But, as long as He allows

I will enjoy

The love the laughter

My girl and boys.

You watch them play

They read and learn

Grow up and go

To take their turn.

I come back to now

Where my hope resides

And wrap myself in
This father’s pride.

Happy Birthday Megan

Daddy loves you very much.
