Today was supposed to be very busy at work, being the day after a holiday and all.  It turned out to be not so bad, except for an encounter I had with another nurse.  This person is very much disliked in our clinic, but I have gotten along with her just fine by mostly ignoring her.  Well, she doesn't like to be ignored!  We were working side by side today, something that doesn't happen all that often.  She overheard me call the pharmacy to tell them that they forgot to send an IV premed.  What's a premed?  Oh, these medications are a cancer patient's best friend.  Anti-nausea, anti-anxiety,

I thought it was about time to look at my investments.  I haven't looked at them for over a year now.  I have mostly mutual funds and bonds.  I also have some stocks that are doing ok.  The thing to do, if you aren't going to make any changes, is to just leave it alone, right?  Ahhh, pleasant surprise......  It's not as if I am rich or anything, but those little old investments have just been growing even tho I have been ignoring them.  I made some changes....  Those inflation type bond funds are not doing well...OUT!  I do own a fair amount of IBM that I have been threatening to get rid of
