Missed Friday's Post

Shoot, I realized I didn't get a chance to post my NCAA predictions on Friday.  Was busy with work, put in way too many hours lately.  Not a big deal, I would have called the Mizzou and Michigan State losses, but probably would have also called for an Oregon loss and a UGA win.  Oregon looks really good, playing complete games.  I didn't watch much of the Auburn game as I was laid up with a wicked headache, but from what I saw, Newton is still on target for the Heisman, while spreading the ball out to some other players.  Other than that, always good to see Notre Dame take a big ol' L, and

What the hell is this?

Tonight, I'm playing Rock Band 3 with the lady, and Timmy just starts barking his fool head off, facing the french doors which go from man cave to the outside.  I finally paused the game, and looked, but didn't see anything.  So, I leashed him up and we went outside.  He went directly to this thing, which was standing up on it's rear.  I thought it was just a leaf, and couldn't understand his trepidation towards it.  He would go towards it, then recoil quickly.  I kicked it with my foot, thinking it was just a leaf, but it had a more solid feel to it.  So, I went over and picked it up.  I c

College ball is a rollercoaster

API is the BCS #1.  Interesting.  I still think they have a loss or two in them.  Same with Oregon.  Can't really argue with the BCS standings though.  While it makes me cringe to see Auburn and their little brother syndrome in #1, given who they've played, I do think they've shown more on the field than has Oregon.

I am on board with Cam Newton leading the Heisman talk.  He's very, very good, even if his heart is still in Gainesville.

Fallout New Vegas Thoughts

I'm just not digging Fallout New Vegas.  Granted, I've had a hell of a week at work, putting in a lot of hours, and have really only played it for 2 hours.  I guess the first thing that turned me off was all the screen tearing in the opening sequence, then, I was trying to review the SPECIAL settings I had selected, and hit right trigger to cycle through them and it committed me.  Next, it just seemed kludgey.  I understand I'm building my gun skills up, but I was lucky if I was hitting a sarsparilla bottle one out of four tries.  The opening missions just seemed boring, and a rad scorpion
