Yesterday was my last day of work for about two months.  As of yesterday, I am officially on summer break.  I love teaching but I love summer breaks even more.

A guy that I teach with offered me a summer job. For years, he has run a 2 week camp for high school kids. It is a career camp where they bring in students from surrounding counties and expose them to all types of different careers. The spend the day visiting different businesses and going to classes. They get to spend a day at Dollywood. I would basically be babysitting these kids. There are 30 kids and 6 counselors. I would have to report on a Sunday afternoon and would not get to come home until Friday afternoon. I do this for one week, take a week off and do it for another week.

The other night I met an older woman at a bar.  She wasn't bad for 57.  We drank and talked a bit.  Then she asked if I had ever had a mother daughter threesome?  I said no.  We drank a bit more.  Then she says that it is my lucky night.  We go back to her place.  She turns on the lights and a little music.  She then shouts upstairs, "Mom, you still awake?"

Bob works hard at the plant and spends 2 nights each week bowling and plays golf every Saturday.  His wife thinks he is pushing himself too hard, so for his birthday, she takes him to a local strip club.  The doorman at the club greets them and says, "Hey Bob.  How ya doing."  His wife is puzzled and asks if he has been to this club before.  "Oh no," says Bob.  "He is on my bowling team."  When they are seated, a waitress asks Bob if he'd like his usual and brings over a Budweiser.  His wife is becoming increasingly uncomfortable and says, "How did she know that you drink Budweiser?"  "She is

I may be the only person out there that is not a huge Halo fan.  A quick Halo history.  I bought a used 180 system in January and it came with a lot of games.  One was Halo 2.  I had heard about it and how great it was.  I started to play the campaign and I will admit I enjoyed it.  Then I decided to try it live.  Not so fun.  It didn't help that I was playing against people who had been playing for a long time.  I was not having fun.  Then I went out and bought a 360 and Gears.  I enjoyed playing it.  My friends list grew and I was hooked.  Every now and then I would try Halo again.  Same res

The end of school is drawing near and it can't get here quick enough.  The softball team got beat last night so we are done with that.  I actually get to go home today like normal people.  I am watching another class for another teacher the rest of this week so we are taking it easy the rest of this week.  After this week is over there are only two more weeks.  Most of that is filled up with field trips and assemblies.  So basically, I am done teaching.  Just babysitting right now.
