Yeah, the reviews about it being 4 hours were pretty much dead on.  There could have been so much more.  The game ends with you being a part of a major battle.  It would have been nice to see the game continue 6 months later.  Maybe not conclude the entire Korean occupation of the United States, but feel like I've done more than finish Act 1.  It feels like THQ tacked the single player on a multiplayer game.  Stupid move in my eyes.  A story like this needs to have character development. It should have been developed as an epic story driven game, with mutliplayer tacked on, or left out unti

Yesterday, Portal 2 showed up.  I got up to chapter 3, it was a fairly good time.  Typical Valve quality - great scripting, great gameplay, mediocre graphics, awful textures.  I couldn't get drawn into it enough to keep going, despite forming some sort of unholy geek crush on GLaDOS.  I noticed that the Castlevania Reverie DLC has finally been released.  Seeing as I got the game on the cheap for $20, I didn't feel bad paying $10 for the DLC.  First thing I noticed was the art style changed - they're doing more motion anime in the cut scenes.  I'm sure this is a resources/space issue for DLC

I don't know what's up, but I have not had much interest in gaming since I finished Dragon Age 2.  Sure, I've been very busy with work and home the past 2-3 weeks, but I usually find some time to get some gaming in.  It's not lack of games.  I still have Homefront in the shrink wrap, and have picked up a few games on price drops lately.  I don't know what it is, but I just don't feel much like playing lately.  I turned my xbox on twice this week, fiddled around the dashboard, checked for add-ons and then turned it off.  I'm not playing PS3 or PC.  I did pick up a 3DS, and it's okay, but rea

I'm into Act 3 on Dragon Age 2, and have been concentrating on the companion, side and secondary quests.  I was fearing the worst when I came up on a high dragon at the Bone Pit, but somehow, I was able to get through the fight.  It was a nailbiter, as my entire party, with the exception of Anders was down.  I had to run around and use ranged attacks for a while while my regroup cooldown timer was in play.  After some time, the team was revived and I was able to complete the battle.  Very good time there.

I took the lady and the kids up to Gatlinburg, TN this weekend.  We rented a nice cabin in the mountains, and they went off and did their cub scout thing.  It was cold and rainy, but it was generally an enjoyable time - except for the kids getting scared in the Ripley's haunted house.

The cabin had no wi-fi.  I don't quite know what to make of this.  Was it good to be nearly disconnected with the world, or was it bad?  I had edge on the iPhone, but that was horribly slow.
