I took the lady and the kids up to Gatlinburg, TN this weekend.  We rented a nice cabin in the mountains, and they went off and did their cub scout thing.  It was cold and rainy, but it was generally an enjoyable time - except for the kids getting scared in the Ripley's haunted house.

The cabin had no wi-fi.  I don't quite know what to make of this.  Was it good to be nearly disconnected with the world, or was it bad?  I had edge on the iPhone, but that was horribly slow.

Dragon Age 2 came in the mail on Wednesday.  I was dying to play it, got all the extra downloads and was ready to go.  Went through the first part (the demo part with the ogre) and when I got to Kirkwall, I was given a decision as to who I would work for over the next year to pay for a bribe into the city.  Smugglers or mercenaries?  I was actually torn on this decision.  After a long day with work, and futzing around with fish tanks and trying to decipher a curious ammonia presense in one of them, I just didn't feel like making a decision that could potentially impact me for the duration o

I have 3 games coming next week - Dragon Age 2, MLB 2k11 (unless I cancel it) and Yoostar 2.  Given that DA2 alone will consume me, I was just looking for something that I could finish in 8-12 hours over the weekend, and be ready on Tuesday to make my girfriend a Dragon Age Widow.

The pet psychic came last night.  It was pretty much what I thought - a dude who knows a lot about animals and animal behavior.  I didn't really see anything psychic going on.  The cats did not come out to see him.  We first went downstairs.  He caught a glimpse of the boy.  He's a bit chunky, so the guy said that he was picking up a hypo-thyroid issue.  I chalk that up to "fat cat with aggression problems - typically thyroid".  He made some good suggestions about general stuff.  Give the cats some calming supplements.  I've tried this, but he suggested Rescue Remedy, so I'll give it a shot

I've reported on this blog about my cats behavior.  Long story short - one of my girlfriend's kids friends put a hole in an internal wall of my garage with his bike, as a result, one of my cats, the mother cat, got outside for a period of 24 hours or so.  Since returning, she and her son have been at odds.  Fur flying, hissing, hateful odds.  Her daughter is okay with her.  We've segregated the mother and daughter to the 2 main floors of the house.  They're fine.  We've put the son in my man cave, he's fine.  He's actually a very sweet cat.  However, any attempts to reuninte the three resul
