Started my new job.  So far so good.  Playing a bit of Magic again.  Yay!  As my sister-in-law and friend so nicely put it "The 30 year drought is over!".  Yeh, long over.  w00t!  I am cooking Italian food and luving it.  Joined the gym.  Very nice and very cheap as an employee.  My kitty continues to shed all over the place.  Nice touch for the furniture.  What else?  Life is becoming "normal" for me.  All of the hurdles seem to be gone and over with.  Well, maybe a few surprises may happen now and then, but, without surprises life would be boring!  One sad note....

Ok.  This is what my latest adventure has been.  Driving school!  Yep!  I had to go to get my ticket dismissed.  What?  Oh yeh.  All those trips back and forth from NC to VA I was bound to get caught.  I like to drive fast.  The state of Virginia is VERY hungry, especially the traffic cops.  And reckless!!!!  My ticket was for RECKLESS driving!!!  Me!  I have never had a ticket in my life (good thing) and I am far from reckless.  I don't tailgate.  God forbid anyone takes my space!  I don't weave in and out of traffic or run red lights.  I go with the flow, stay with in line with the other

My life is so full of twists and turns lately.  I do NOT start my new job today.  Why?  Because they were unable to do a criminal check on me in time.  WTF?  I can tell them.  You won't find anything!  Not even a whisper!  But, they have a new person that is very "detailed" (AKA nitpicky) and changed the process from a 24-48 hour turn around to 8-10 days.  Yikes!  I was informed, by a very apologetic recruiter that she had to delay myself and several others from starting orientation today because of this.  Now, I have to wait until they call me, hopefully, within a week or so.  In the meant

Whew!  Things have settled down just a bit for me.  I still have a few boxes to unpack, and I promised the man I would work on them today.  I also start my new job Monday.  Well, orientation, anyways.  Then I will start my new adventure, another chapter in my life workwise, prolly Wednesday after to house orientation stuff is done.  Since I have worn scrubs for so long, I will likely have to buy some clothes.  I don't think this position warrants any kind of uniform, except maybe a white coat.  Blah.  No white coat.  But, shopping!  Yay!  I have anything from huge outlet malls to Walmart to

The 2 week whirlwind road trip with the new man is winding up today.  Whew.  It seems we have been everywhere and done everything, but that is just not true.  We have been very busy, though.  The apartment is completelely closed up and keys have been handed in.  I watched my big grandson graduate from high school and took the little one to see Shrek.  I am now a Shrek fan.  I also managed to survive the graduation party with ex and new man in the same room together.  Whew.  It went well, both were well behaved, and that particular discomfort is done with.  I start the prejob part my new job
