It's raining here.  Blah.  I guess there is a tropical storm causing it all.  So, I was late getting to work and called my boss to tell her I was stuck in traffic.  Yes, in these here parts if there is even a whisper of a problem, rain, a car pulled over on the side of the road, or, god forbid, a real accident, all cars come to a stop and no one goes anywhere.  So, I told her I had this interview and was going straight there and would come to work after.  OK.  Well, they kept me ALL DAY!!!!!  First I was close to 3 hours at the Newport News office meeting everyone and basically just chattin

I can't believe it actually happened.  I just got a call from the nurse manager of the infusion clinic that I am hoping to work at, and I have an appointment for an interview at 10:00 tomorrow morning.  Wow!  Here I was searching for appropriate jobs all over Virginia, and this one is coming through for me.  At least, I hope so.  The truth is, I had already started this blog with an altogether different tone, and now, woot!  Life is good!  If I get this job, I will be a chemo slinger once again!!!

I heard from an old friend today.  Another very pleasant surprise.

I have been busy. I know. The same old thing, the same old used up word.....busy. Stuff has been happening. I sneak in and take a peak around in here quite often, but haven't got a lot to say cuz i am not gaming a whole lot lately and I guess people may be tired of hearing about the continuing saga of "my life". I've been busy. I really have. So busy that I just remembered the LAN was this weekend and just found out TODAY that it is the last one. That alone may have gotten me there this year. Sad. I have been to two LANs in Chicago and a smaller one in Philladelphia and they are so much FUN!!!!! Do we actually game? Well, yeh. But there is so much more. Friends you've never met. Friends you have met but haven't seen for a year. Mike James! What will we do without that guy every year? And when will I ever get a group of people to bet on whether or not I will do the tequilla shot?

Wow, just when you think it's slowing down a bit, it doesn't.  I like my new job.  It's mostly administrative and that is a great change of pace and a totally new learning experience.  I guess I needed a challenge, and my new life is that, indeed.  I live in Williamsburg, work in Newport News.  That is a 35 minute drive on crazy I-64, but not too bad.  At least I don't have to mess with the "dreaded tunnel".  I actually don't mind the drive.  It is time to think, listen to music, listen to audio books, whatever.  Once I am home, my role is keeping my man happy, and myself, of course.  I coo
