Birthday...belated

Birthday was Tuesday.  I got happy birthday wishes on Facebook that made me smile.  Several were from 2old2play friends, including DSmooth!  Sweet.  Gerry got me a Kindle.  He knows I love to read and also love my toys.  Woot!  Another toy!  We are still eating the cherry cheesecake (my weakness) that was my birthday cake, fully equipped with candles and all.  And he sang!  ooooooo.  I luv being sung to.   It was all so very special.  But!  It's not over yet.  The cruise we are leaving on Saturday is to celebrate both of our birthdays.  After all, you don't have a milestone birthday like, u

Stuff

So, I have had some problems adjusting to the new job, brutal work day, almost brutal drive to and from, and work, sleep, work, sleep schedule.  This is a HUGE hospital.  I don't even know how many beds, but it is actually 4 hospitals that are combined to make one big one.  And, sometimes, almost always, in fact, I am the only one on the IV team that is working that day.  We have one that is "fed up" and burning her sick time for 3 weeks now.  I doubt she's ever coming back cuz she is eligible for retirement.  We all, including management, believe she is just gone.  OK, can't replace her un

Normalcy

Is that a word?  I think so, but that's what is starting to happen in my life again.  Yay!  After more than 2 years of roller coaster rides, I think I have settled down to some kind of pattern.  I have moved 3 times.  Started a new relationship and ended the old.  Had 3 jobs, which I know cuz I have 3 W2 forms for my income tax this year.  Gained 10 lbs and lost 5.  I'm told it looks good on me. Got a new hairdo.  I now have shoulder length hair and wear pony tails sometimes.  Nice.   A helluva lot of not so drastic life changes going on, too.  That is all settling down.  Whew.  Didn't thin

Just Breathe....

I made it thru my "4 in a row" work week, which is physically and mentally challenging.  My job is so HARD!  But, I am good at what I do and getting better all the time.  The hard part is getting kicked out of patient's rooms, among other things.  They just don't like being stuck!  And, by the time I have been called, they have been stuck quite a few times and have nothing left.  Thus, I get kicked out, or at least get a scowl or "oh, no, it's you".  Sad.  I am only there to help.   I also walk the entire hospital complex several times a day, which we figure is at least 5 miles.  I am getti

Day Off

A day off with no real plans!  Bonus!  Well, the plumber has come and gone.....yeh, brand new house and already having plumbing problems.  Unmentionable plumbing problems.  We have a cleaning crew come in once a month, and they are coming at 11:00 (soon) then the rest of the day is mine all mine!  What to do?  Well, it's not as if I don't have a million things on my list.  But, at least, I can work my way down that list today.

Vertigo has cleared up all except for the "hangover".  I continue to have dizziness when I move certain ways.  It's a PITA, but I live with it.
